Sidney Elyea - Upper Midwest Construction Manager

About Sidney Elyea Waite Park, MN

An accomplished construction professional, Sidney (Sid) Elyea brings more than 25 years of experience to his position as a project manager for RJ Ryan Construction in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. In this leadership position, he guides commercial construction projects for industrial clients throughout the upper Midwest. Among other significant projects, Sidney Elyea led all aspects of construction management for a 40,000-square-foot facility in Rochester, Minnesota, for Viking Electric and a 48,000-square-foot transfer station for Globus Transport in Lakeville.

Prior to joining RJ Ryan, Sidney Elyea spent several years as a project manager for Division21 Inc., in St. Paul. There, he managed construction development in the retail, restaurant, and hospitality industries, including a major renovation project for Starbucks. In this work, Mr. Elyea built upon experience garnered earlier in his career with companies such as Klinglehutz Construction, Dale Gruber Construction, and Life Time Fitness, for which he managed the renovation of 40 clubs.

Sid Elyea studied architectural construction technology at St. Cloud Technical College before going on to earn his bachelor’s degree in business management at Cardinal Stritch University in Edina, Minnesota. Outside of his professional life, he pursues a diverse range of hobbies that includes hiking, biking, and photography. An avid fisherman, he particularly enjoys angling for largemouth bass on Lake Minnewashta.
